An Invisible Bulls-Eye

Could someone please tell me if there's a gigantic target above our house that we just can't see?!
Last night we had another sever thunderstorm with high winds and heavy rain. We noticed a large limb from our tree (the same tree that damaged the garage, by the way) had fallen and was laying in the driveway. Upon further inspection, we noticed the limb had fallen on the back of our car and shattered the back window.
Bill and I had a good laugh over it, because honestly, it's really unbelievable, and what else were we going to do? Fortunately the estimate to get the window repaired wasn't too much, so we won't have to claim this on our insurance. The van is in the shop being repaired and we just pray that nothing happens to the rental car in the next 2 weeks.

It may be time to find a new home. LOL. That all sounds horrible. I am so sorry you are having to deal with all these things. It does make your grateful for insurance and income.

Wow Jen, I was looking for a van update only to find a car mishap. If I were you I would think about chopping down all of your trees or tying rope to all of the branches to secure them. You also might invest in a helmet and body armor to for your family to wear at all times. Luckily none of you have been hurt. So um, maybe you should reinforce your garage with 12" I-beams throughout and always only park your vehicles inside as your road and driveway obviously aren't safe. So the van is fixable huh? No cracked frame then I assume. Wow, be safe!!
