Getting Caught Up

Once again I have fallen behind in the blogging world. I really don't have a good excuse - besides the fact that I'm tired and still battling morning sickness :) So here's a quick update on our lives, sorry, no pictures.

Easter/Spring Break: Our good friends Dave and Bridgette (and their cute kiddos) came to visit us all the way from Wyoming! We had a lot of fun: playing games, geo-caching, riding bikes, lots of Easter egg hunts, jumping on the trampoline, visiting Bill's creatures at school, eating good food. I'm sure I've missed a few activities, but you get the idea. We had a lot of fun and can't wait until the next time we can all get together.

Awards: At the end of every school year, the college Bill works at does an annual awards ceremony. Bill was honored with two awards, which is quite an accomplishment for a new faculty member. First, the outreach group he has started, Creature Outreach, received the award for outstanding leadership (or something close to that, I can't exactly remember). Second, Bill received the award for Faculty Member of the Year! Pretty exciting and very well deserved. When we told Dylan about the awards he wanted to know if Bill got a trophy and actually he did get a plaque for each award, so Dylan thought that was pretty cool.

Grandparents: My parents came to visit this last weekend. It was a quick trip but good to visit with them and especially for them to get to see Dylan and Paige. We had a lot of fun with them. We went bowling and Dylan bowled a 110, which included 3 spares and 1 strike, it was great. Thanks to them for making the trip. We felt very spoiled by the time they left.

3-0!: Yesterday was my 30th birthday. Hard to believe that the 20's are gone and I've now joined the rank of the 30's. When I think back to my 20's I actually accomplished quite a bit: graduated from college, got married, moved a couple times, had kids, bought a house. I can't imagine the next decade will hold as many life-changing events, I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Well that's about it for us. I'm now 16 weeks along and still waiting for the morning sickness to subside, although it isn't as bad as it was so I guess I should be thankful.

We're About to be Out-Numbered!

Changes are soon coming to the Heyborne household. Namely, the adults will be out-numbered by the kids!!! We are excited to be adding baby Heyborne #3 to our family. Due October 13, 2009.

Here is a picture of the baby from a routine ultrasound they did at 8 weeks (I am now 12 weeks along). The baby is the tiny form at the top of the dark circle, the yolk sac is the round thing also in the picture.

Thanks to Bill for being super Dad and Mom lately. I have been really sick again with this pregnancy, so he has been pulling double duty for the past month. I think Dylan has been feeling especially bad for him. He keeps making Bill all these cards. The last one said, "Dear Dad, thanks for cleaning the table. Love, Dylan". And I would add thanks for: getting Dylan ready and to school, doing the dishes, making dinner, doing the laundry, going grocery shopping, and the list could go on and on.

And now we have 6 months to try and get ready for the adjustment. What fun!
